Connecticut Working Families is the independent voice to stand up for the rest of us.
When the needs of every day families are ignored by politicians or drowned out by heavy-weight lobbyists for big banks, powerful corporations or special interests, Connecticut Working Families empowers average people to remind our elected leaders who they’re supposed to represent.
In an age where Connecticut residents are having a tougher time making ends meet than ever, but profits at bailed out Wall Street banks are through the roof, it’s time for a change. We need to make sure our economy is putting average families first.
Despite these polarized times, bread and butter issues unite us. We all understand the need for decent jobs, and quality, affordable healthcare. To guarantee quality school for our children and make sure big corporations pay their fair share and treat people with decency.
Connecticut Working Families is organizing in communities around Connecticut to rebuild an economy that works for all of us. We’re a people-powered movement that believes working class and middle class families deserve a seat at the table again.
