Time is running out. Tell your legislators to act now:

According to a new analysis by the state’s Office of Fiscal Analysis, Connecticut’s corporate tax loopholes cost us $88 million a year. Large, profitable corporations like AT&T and Wal-Mart take advantage of tricky accounting techniques to avoid millions in taxes — and we pick up the tab.
The legislative session is nearly over in Hartford. But the good news is, the legislature has come in to session today, on a Saturday, and could vote to close corporate tax loopholes. But they need to hear from you.
We’re coming down to the finish line. Over 1000 people have taken action so far, and I need your help again to push this over the finish line.
Send a message to your legislators to close corporate tax loopholes.
With time running out, please help spread the word by sharing on Facebook or emailing your friends and family.
The momentum here is real. Our campaign — which, I’m sure you can guess, is being aggressively opposed by lobbyists for some of the largest and most profitable corporations in the state — has come a long way. Yesterday, over 100 people rallied at the Capitol to close corporate tax loopholes. And after years of this kind of legislation dying in committee, we’ve really got a shot this year, with your help.
The state is facing a huge budget hole. Making sure that our state’s largest corporations are paying their fair share — the way 23 other states already do — is by far the best way to start closing the gap. Certainly better than harsh cuts to vital services like schools, hospitals and public safety.
But time is running out. On Wednesday at Midnight, the legislative session is over, no matter how much business remains unfinished. The corporate lobbyists’ strategy will depend on drawing things out. That’s why I need your help, for these last few days, to keep the pressure high at t to do the right thing and close corporate tax loopholes.
Tell your legislators that it’s time to close corporate tax loopholes right away.
Thanks for all your help. Please spread the word by forwarding this email or sharing on Facebook. And keep it up for just a few more days.
